The Seed of Service (1998–2005) – JNV Kishanganj & JNV Purnea

Location: Kishanganj & Purnea, Bihar
  • Inspired by the Navodaya motto: “Come to Learn, Go to Serve.”
  • Informally mentored batchmates and juniors in academics and extracurriculars.
  • Developed early leadership and service instincts while living and learning among rural, underprivileged peers.
  • Beneficiaries: ~50 students through peer mentoring and support.

Leading from the Front – Kosi Flood Relief & IIT-K Initiatives (2006–2008)

Location: Madhepura (Bihar) & IIT Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh)

2.1 – Kosi Flood Relief Operations (2008)

  • Led a 10-member IIT Kanpur team for relief work in flood-ravaged Murliganj, Madhepura.
  • Distributed food, water, tarpaulins, clothes, and essentials, in collaboration with the North Eastern Bihar Chamber of Commerce.
  • Mobilized ₹10 lakh worth of funds and resources.
  • Beneficiaries: Over 10,000 flood victims supported during a 10-day ground operation.

2.2 – Educational Empowerment at IIT Kanpur (2006–2011)

While pursuing a B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree at IIT Kanpur, I initiated several educational outreach efforts:
  • Navodaya Students at Techkriti’09
  • Enabled participation of 50+ students from Patna, Lucknow, and Hyderabad regions in Techkriti’09, Asia’s largest technical university festival.
  • Gave rural students a platform to showcase talent and dream big.
  • Weekend Teaching & Mentorship at JNVs
  • Led volunteer IITK student teams to teach and mentor students at JNV Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Kannauj, Basti, etc.
  • Conducted JEE/NEET preparation and career counseling for Classes 9–12.
  • Beneficiaries: Over 1,000 students mentored.
  • Bringing JNV Students to IIT Kanpur
  • Facilitated campus visits, especially for students from JNV Farrukhabad.
  • Hosted interactive sessions with Dr. H.C. Verma (Concepts of Physics) to boost students’ confidence.
  • Beneficiaries: Over 500 students inspired through campus exposure.
Chapter 3

Empowering Through Evening School (2011–2014)

Location: Reliance Township, Jamnagar, Gujarat
  • Co-founded an evening school for children of laborers using employee crowdfunding.
  • Helped transition it into a government-recognized primary school.
  • Launched JNVST preparation support and distributed study material.
  • Beneficiaries: ~100 children gained structured access to early education.
Chapter 4

Nurturing Future Engineers & Doctors (2012–2014)

Location: KDAV School, Reliance Greens, Jamnagar
  • Launched free JEE/NEET coaching using support from HR and volunteers.
  • Delivered motivational talks and mentoring as Chief Guest at JNV Jamnagar and JNV Rajkot.
  • Recognized by school leadership and township authorities for contributions.
  • Beneficiaries: Over 800 students mentored and guided.
Chapter 5

Lessons Under the Flyover (2015–2017)

Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai
  • Volunteered with NGO Pehchaan to teach homeless and slum children under Mahape flyover.
  • Focused on basic literacy, Navodaya prep, and values education.
  • Enabled several children to enroll in formal municipal schools.
  • Beneficiaries: ~30 children educated and integrated into mainstream schooling.
Chapter 6

Career Mentorship at JNV Palghar (2017–Present)

Location: Palghar, Maharashtra
  • Chief Guest at JNV Palghar’s Republic Day celebrations (2017).
  • Initiated annual career counseling sessions for 10th and 12th-grade students.
  • Organized Deloitte Impact Day activities, involving 10+ professionals for mentoring.
  • Beneficiaries: Over 600 students and parents benefited from yearly interventions.

Building Alumni Networks for Grassroots Impact (2010–Present)

Scope: Bihar & Pan-India
  • Founder President, Navodaya Alumni Association Kishanganj (NAAK)
  • Founder Member & Secretary, Navodaya Alumni Association Bihar (NAAB)
  • Core Member, All India Navodaya Alumni Association (AINAA)
  • Led initiatives including free JEE/NEET coaching, career guidance, medical camps, and student competitions across Bihar.
  • Beneficiaries: Over 5,000 students and parents in 10+ districts impacted.
Chapter 8

Founding Moti Bhushan Welfare Foundation (2024–Present)

Location: Bihar (Seemanchal Region)
  • Founded Moti Bhushan Welfare Foundation (MBWF), a Section 8 NGO with 12A, 80G, and GSTIN.
  • Vision: Uplift underprivileged rural children through education, digital infra, career mentorship, girl safety (CCTV), and spoken English.
  • Set up the first learning center with classroom, hall, office, and basic infrastructure.
  • Donated ₹1.5 lakh as seed support and now seeking grants and CSR funding.
  • Target Beneficiaries (2024–25): 100+ students, 200+ parents in the first year.

A Mission That Continues

Scope: Bihar & Pan-India
This journey, seeded in a flood-ridden village and nurtured through the corridors of IIT Kanpur and corporate corridors, continues today through structured action, community leadership, and a lifelong commitment to the Navodaya motto: “Come to Learn, Go to Serve.”
